Job Responsibility for L1 Scope

Fault Management
|
- Basic troubleshooting to identify whether outage is due to passive/Active issue.
- In case of any link failure checking the current and history Rsl performance of the link.
- Checking E1 status and giving loop and troubleshooting the E1 issues.
- Checking RF/IF loops for fixing hardware issues and troubleshooting.
- In case of big outage supporting RAN team to identify hub site.
- In case of any hardware issues due to high temperature resetting the card with BO support.
- Handle the Board failure and Abnormal power on the SDH Boxes
- Provision or deletion the E1 or TUG links in the NMS as per the planning guidelines with alarm checks
- Configure new cards ( STm1/STM4/64) and SFP/XFP in the SDH boxes
- Enable /disable the ODU services in the WDM /OMS as per requirement from Planning

Preventive Maintenance:
|
- Daily checking current and last 24 hrs history alarms and escalate to BO for alarms required BO support.
- Daily checking link Rsl performance and link performance parameters like ES,SES,BBE,BER and coordinate with BO for clearing links with bad performance
- Checking Node backup status and do manual backup in case of any auto backup failure.
- Identifying the frequent issues and raising problem ticket for tie issue and follow-up for permanent fix.
- Exporting node visibility report and share the tracker to stakeholders. In case of any nodes not managed on the NMS/EMS follow-up for making the node managed with the help of FLE/BO.
- Supporting BO team for fetching Link utilization report for analysis.
- Take the TX & RX power report for all SDH /WDM nodes/SFP & XFP and verify with desired value and raise issue to FLM for rectification in degraded Boards /Fiber spans
- Work on the Topology rectification as per the network changes
- Work on the alarm analysis in Microwave /SDH /WDM domains and identify the owners to clear those alarms
- Check the ODU /Service status (active/deactivate status ) on the network (main and backup path ) for Service stability and redundancy

Change Management:
|
- Helping BO team in preparing solution development for any change activities.
- Changing link modulation to increase bandwidth.
- Enabling Adaptive modulation as per planning requirement to prevent outage due to fading.
- Enabling ATPC to reduce impact due to interference.
- Supporting BO in pre and post check of KPI for any change activity.
- Work on the Link Alignment issue with FLM as per link Budget
- Work on changing the SDH Node hardware or checking the MSP checks on boards in coordination with FLM
- Able to do Ring switching test SDH /Microwave with clear MOP verified by L2 support or TAC
